The World Federation of KSIMC

The Mumbai Chapter of Jafari International Business Association organised The 20^th JIBA International Conference and Trade Fair on 14^th and 15^th March 2015 at Hotel Sahara Star Mumbai. The 2-day conference attracted more than 250 participants from Indian cities like Mumbai, Bhavnagar, Ahmedabad, Bangalore and small villages like Dholka & Achalpur to International cities like Paris, Dubai, Dar-es-Salaam, Karachi etc. In total there were 20 exhibitors, 1 main sponsor, 2 co-sponsors and 3 associate sponsors. 

The conference started with Tilawat e Quran and the National Anthem. Asad Virani (Secretary General of JIBA Mumbai) welcomed the dignitaries and introduced the agenda of the conference as Master of Ceremony. The dignitaries included Aliakbar Shroff (Chairman of JIBA Mumbai, Secretary of India Federation, Jt. Secretary of KSI Jamat Mumbai and Councillor of The World Federation of KSIMC), Chief Guest Adv. Ashish Shelar (President of the ruling political party BJP Mumbai), Safderbhai Karmali (President of KSI Jamat Mumbai and Chairman of Indian Federation), Mustafabhai Dhanji (Chairman of JIBA International), Anverbhai Rajpar (Founder member of JIBA International), Asifbhai Bhamla (Spokesperson of NCP Mumbai), Mohammed Razabhai Jafri (Chairman of JIBA Ahmedabad), Gulamalibhai Meghani (Chairman of JIBA Bhavnagar), Hasnainbhai Ajani (Chairman of JIBA Bangalore), Abbas Virani (Treasurer of JIBA Mumbai and Main sponsor of the event), Mustafabhai Kassam (Co-Sponsor) and Yasinbhai Sayani (Co-Sponsor). Mohammedbhai Bhojani (President of Sangli Jamaat) was also present with his delegation.  

In his welcome speech, Ali Shroff, Chairman of the Host Chapter thanked the sponsors and discussed the activities of JIBA Mumbai. He explained how close JIBA was to his heart and how JIBA Mumbai has worked hard to break the Rich-man’s-Club alias associated with JIBA all these years. Mustafa Dhanji in his speech appreciated the work done by JIBA in India and also announced his end of term as the Chairman of JIBA International followed by elections to take place the next day. He invited people to come forward to contest the elections for the post of Chairman, Vice Chariman and Treasurer for the term 2015-18.

Anverbhai Rajpar spoke on the Importance of Networking and announced the coming year as the 25^th Anniversary of JIBA and expressed his wish to celebrate it in a grand manner. He also pledged USD 5,000 as his contribution towards the expenses. This was followed by felicitation of the Chief Guest Adv. Ashish Shelar (President of BJP Mumbai) and the launch of the JIBA souvenir. JIBA Mumbai was felicitated by JIBA International and the Chief Guest.

The Chief Guest in his brief inspirational speech talked about the support the Government provides and appreciated the efforts of Ali Shroff to have organised this conference to uplift the community and provide a platform for all upcoming businessmen.

Post Namaz and Lunch Mr. Kamlesh Pandya spoke about the Real Estate Investment opportunities in India and Investment Expert Imtiyaz Merchant spoke about the Stock Market and Shariyah Investments. All exhibitors and participants were encouraged to come on the dias to introduce themselves and this started the B2B session. 

Day 2 started at 10am with Tilawat e Quran and a very Motivational speech on Entrepreneurship Development by Mr. Partha Raut (Management Consultant). Dr. Avinash Dsouza (Psychiatrist) gave an informative talk on Stress Management. The Chief Guest for the day, Mr. Ameet Satam, MLA of BJP Mumbai congratulated Ali Shroff for organising such a successful event and promised his support for all activities related to economic development. 

Post Namaz and Lunch to make the session entertaining, Mr. Razzak Khan a Standup Comedian shared a few rib tickling jokes and converted the conference to a very jovial environment. An Interactive session on Startups was coordinated by Imran Ladiwala who is the CEO and Founder of CatchIT! App. Imran Ladiwala is the first Indian to develop a social networking App on the Make-In-India theme of Government of India and has got lots of appreciation from Big Corporate Houses of India. 

The JIBA International Elections was conducted by Masumbhai Somji. Mustafa Dhanji nominated Ali Shroff as the Chairman and he was elected unopposed. The Vice Chairman post was won by Nasirbhai Dossani (President of KSI Jamat Sarkhej Ahmedbad) and Treasurer by Abbasbhai Bhojani (Trustee of Umme Kulsum Trust Bhavnagar). Ali Shroff is the youngest president in the history of JIBA.Kamil Panna of JIBA Dubai spoke about the Outsourcing opportunities in India. Chairmen of JIBA Bhavnagar and Ahmedabad gave their activity reports. A Speech by the newly elected Chairman of JIBA International, Ali Shroff, gave an insight of the future activities and the road map.

Vote of Thanks was conducted and the conference officially ended at 6pm.
