ASG of Islamic Education visits Poland

The Assistant Secretary General of Islamic Education of The World Federation, Sayyid Aliraza Naqvi visited the Polish city of Lublin from 23-25 May 2013.  The trip was facilitated by the Al Mahdi Institute of Birmingham.  During his visit, he met with the local Shi’a community and delivered a lecture during the celebration of the Wiladat of Imam Ali (as).

He also met representatives of the Polish Shi’a organisation, the Muslim Unity Society and discussed their activities and future plans.

The World Federation has discussed a number of Tableegh initiatives in Poland with the Islamic Unity Society, including publications and events.

Sayyid Aliraza Naqvi said, ‘Alhamdillilah, the visit to Poland was an eye-opener for me personally and a reminder of our duty to spread the message of the Ahlul Bayt (as). The polish people were very receptive of the message of the Ahlul Bayt (as) and I am confident we can provide a lot of support to Tableegh efforts, inshallah.  I wish to thank Al Mahdi Institute and the Islamic Unity Society for giving me the opportunity to visit Poland.’
