Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania held a 3 day Free Eye Camp from the 8th to 10th of August, 2014 at Kilombero located about 330 kilometers away from Dar Es Salaam sponsored by the family of the Late Marhuma Marziya Bai Rashid together with the Beta Charitable Trust.
Nearly 2300 patients were screened, 72 cataract surgeries with 2 Foreign Body removal surgeries performed by Dr. Hassan and his team at Nyandeo Hospital, 1,808 pairs of glasses were distributed free of charge, including 44 sunglasses, and an estimation of 945 patients were prescribed with medicine.
