Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Visits ExCo in Pakistan

Syed Ali Haider Zaidi, the Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs from PTI,  joined our Executive Council Meeting in Pakistan in December. 

The World Federation, in partnership with the Regional Federations, have been active in providing relief and humanitarian aid to people in Pakistan. For example, The World Federation was the first to provide relief to people in Kashmir, who were affected by the earthquake in 2005. 

Anver Rajpar, the President of Pakistan Federation, and Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi, the President of The World Federation, presented Syed Ali Haider Zaidi with a cheque of Rs. 1 Crore (10 million) for the construction of two dams in Pakistan.

“It is our pleasure to present a donation of PKR Rs. 1 Crore for the construction of the two dams in Pakistan.” Anwar Rajpar President Pakistan Federation.

Syed Ali, upon receiving the cheque, thanked the delegates, saying 'I am very thankful to you for your contribution to the dam fund. The Khoja community plays a big part in enhancing the economy of Pakistan. Thank you for inviting me to ExCo, it's great to see the impact your community has on the Pakistani community'.
