Imam Hussain Mosque Attack South Africa

Brutal Attack on Innocent Shia Muslims in The Imam Hussain Mosque in Ottawa Verulam, South Africa

 إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

The World Federation is deeply saddened and appalled by the barbaric attack on The Imam Hussain Mosque in Ottawa Verulam, north of Durban, South Africa.

This cowardly act of violence only seeks to spread hate and our best response is to unite in solidarity and stand against those evil beings and terrorists who wish to divide us.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the two who remain in critical condition and with the family of Muhammed Abbas Essop who was killed in the attack.

May the spirit of Imam Husain’s (as) live with him. As a martyr may Allah grant him the company of the master of martyrs and his loyal brother Abul Fadhl Al-Abbas.

Please recite Surah Fatiha.
