"Islam and Religious Pluralism" By Ayatullah Murtadha Mutahhari

This book is a translation of the last chapter of Adl-e Ilaahi (Divine Justice) by Ayatullah Mutahhari.  It has been translated by Sayyid Sulayman Ali Hasan, and also contains a preamble by Sayyid Mohamed Rizvi who provides a comprehensive view on religious pluralism in the modern context.

The book also contains a biography at the beginning that allows the reader to understand the capacity and status the author had and why his opinion on such matters holds so much weight.

In this book Ayatullah Mutahhari discusses the general views of Muslim theologians and philosophers, especially the ones that promote the thought that all non-Muslims will go to hell and their deeds will be discounted.

Instead, he presents views from the Qur’an and ahadith that explain the delicate balance between intention and action and how the first fuels the second.  The book is an excellent read in these times when religious pluralism is a highly debated and often misunderstood concept.

Available in hardcopy at The World Federation bookshop for 5 GBP, we are happy to announce that you can now also download it as an e-book in .EPUB and .MOBI formats as well.
