The Launch of Khoja News

The World Federation and the Regional Federations are proud to launch another first for the Khoja community with the unveiling of a dedicated community-owned Khoja News website.

Khoja News is a new online home for the community to share breaking news on achievements in things like business, education and sport – along with more personal related news, including updates on weddings, bereavements and new-borns.

The platform works seamlessly across all internet connected devices, from phones to smart TV’s, and best of all, it allows the community to contribute moderated stories straight to the site.

This makes it a truly community-led initiative and gives everyone the opportunity to keep the Khoja-focussed content relevant and up-to-date by having content owned, published and written by the Khoja world.

Shan-e-Abbas Hassam, The World Federation Secretary General, added:

“Our Khoja community continues to grow and spread further into new places and positions. Technology has made it easier to stay connected, but the variety of social channels people use has brought some challenges too.

If you’re not on a particular group or don’t check Social Media that day, you may miss out on the news that’s important to you. So that’s why we’ve been working hard for months to develop Khoja News and create a platform that incubates good news stories and will preserve them for generations to come.”

The Khoja News site is now live and contains articles about new community projects, interviews with pioneers in the Khoja community and events from across the Khoja world.

Find us Facebook, Instagram or Twitter @KhojaNewsOnline - Share your story with us today!

This allows the global community, from London to Nairobi and Toronto to Sydney, to keep even better connected online so that they can celebrate our rich, diverse culture and pay tribute to our people.
