Capture the epic life stories of your grandparents or a family member and you’re sure to be amazed by what you find. Let’s learn from their lessons in community building, migration, survival and the challenges they faced and overcame.
Do you find due to current lockdown measures due to Covid-19 it makes it difficult for you to meet your family members? Are you staying in touch by phone, Facetime and Zoom calls? Why not get the most of your conversations by diving into their past. To help you with that, we’ve created a list of interview questions you can ask your family members to start documenting their amazing contributions and inspirational experiences. After you sign up, you will get an email of the list of questions you can ask, submit those to us on the google form and once we've received your loved will receive an ebook as a gift with their story- something to treasure indefinitely.
All interviewees will receive an e-book as a gift with their story .
A panel of judges will also review the submissions and we’ll publish the best entries online !
Here’s what they’ll be looking for:
· A well-written submission
· An inspiring interview
· Gender balance
· An interview that provides lessons in one of the following theme areas:
o community building,
o migration,
o survival and
o the challenges they faced and overcame

The Shia Youth Development Project (SYDP) is a vocational programme managed by the Bilal Muslim Mission (Moshi branch). Recently, Sadi Joza, one of its African Shia Muslim students, passed and graduated as an Assistant Pharmacist at KCMC Hospital and has secured employment at the Ithna Asheri Hospital in Dar es Salaam.
