Sayyid Muhsin Tabatabi al Hakim is considered to be one of the most famous scholars for most of the Shia world. After Ayatullah Burujardi, he was among the renowned Maraji of Najaf.
The World Federation’s India Office, in partnership with Mumbai KSI Jamaat, is holding a workshop on Ahkam-e Mayyit (rules relating to the deceased).
The workshop aims to give practical training to the participants on:
- How to handle a dead body with respect
- How to conduct Ghusl, Hunut, Kafan
- How to conduct Namaz-e Mayyit, and burial
- The rules concerning post-burial
The target audience is the youths of the community.
The workshops will be held on 9 and 23 February, and then on 9 March 2014 and will be conducted by renowned scholars of the community. Numbers are limited to 20 people per session. A special ladies batch will also be considered if there is sufficient interest.
