The World Federation re-launches 180 Questions: Enquiries about Islam (Volume One)

The World Federation’s Islamic Education department is pleased to announce the reprint of the much demanded publication: ‘180 Questions: Enquiries About Islam’, compiled by a group of Muslim scholars under the supervision of Ayatullah Nasir Makarim Shirazi.
Numerous philosophical questions are thoroughly answered in this publication such as: Why do we fast? What is the philosophy of Hajj? Why is there an apparent difference between the rights of women and men? Why is Music prohibited?
This book features questions and answers on the Practical Laws of Islam and the reason or philosophy behind why they have been enacted by Allah.
By drawing upon the verses of the Quran, the Ahadith and also the works of scholars who are considered as experts in their fields and who speak about these issues in their writings, Ayatullah Makarim Shirazi is able to draw a balance between combining the religious philosophies with secular scholarly opinions on key issues which have been plaguing the Muslim community for decades.
