All over the world, there are families that are barely able to put food on the table, let alone afford an education for their children. That’s where supporters of ZCSS come in. Through the Zainabiyya Child Sponsorship Scheme (ZCSS) children have the opportunity to learn and be educated. They have the chance to obtain the foundation to make a better future for themselves and their families.

Meet some of the individuals you have helped to build a brighter tomorrow:
Mirza Zulfequar Ali Baig
Mirza is one of three brothers, and the only one to be fortunate enough to acquire an education. His father, a driver with a meager salary was unable to meet the educational expenses of his children. Mirza’s two younger brothers work as a mechanic and a carpenter to assist their father with household expenses.
After his father approached ZCSS for assistance, Mirza was sponsored from Kindergarten to Professional Education. He has successfully completed his B. Tech and may be the first generation in his family to attend an educational institution. Mirza says, “I don’t think I’d be anywhere close to where I am now if I didn’t have the support of The World Federation through ZCSS”. Mirza’s efforts to achieve academic excellence are commendable.
Ata Abbas
Ata Abbas’s father was working in a hotel and was earning very little. The family had to struggle very hard to earn enough to survive. Ata Abbas wanted to become a Computer Engineer and so opted for B.E. with Computer Science and Engineering. Through the generous support of The World Federation through ZCSS, he was able to complete the course successfully. He is now working with ICICI Phone Banking, and is settled in his career and is successfully supporting his family.

“Educate & Empower”. The powerful words of the Vice President of The World Federation Of KSIMC, Munawer Bhai Rattansey, in a speech delivered to the community of Hyderi Islamic Centre in south London, where he launched the Ghaza and Muharram appeal. He inspired the audience to “Be the reason for Success” and to work together in helping providing assistance to those in Gaza.

Alhamdulillah, students who have received assistance through the Zainabiyya Child Sponsorship Scheme (ZCSS) program have moved on to complete their education and started building careers which allow them not only to become self-sufficient and independent but also improve the lives of their families. They are becoming the first generation in their families to receive an education and secure skilled work as a means to earn their living. They are uplifting themselves and their families from the cycle of poverty through education.

Rajab Tsuma, now 23 years old joined class one at Jaffery Primary School sixteen years ago. As his family was not able to send Rajab to school, he was sponsored by ZCSS in 1997. In 2005 Rajab completed class 8 with a score of 314 in the KCPE examination.
