2013 successful recipients of the Hiridjee Family Loan

This year, The World Federation of KSIMC received a total of 4 applicants out of which 2 later withdrew for the Hiridjee Family Loan Scheme. Both applications received were of very high quality.  Students are increasingly going the 'extra mile' in involving themselves in school and community projects and events on a voluntary basis as well as achieving excellent grades in their O and A Levels.  The Loan Application Committee (LAC) has granted the loan to both students and we are delighted to announce the successful recipients of the 2013 Hiridjee Family Loan.

Raheela Shamsherali Datoo
Raheela is highly motivated, goal oriented and conscientious about any tasks undertaken. She is currently studying the Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Podiatric Practise (Double Degree) at The La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia. Raheela has shown outstanding performance throughout her educational journey. She received an Academic Excellence Scholarship from La Trobe worth AU$20,000 which assisted towards her 1st year of university. She supported herself by working as a pharmacy assistant which paid towards her 2nd year. The World Federation will be paying for Raheela’s 3rd and 4th year.

Zahra Husein Alidina
Zahra is a very ambitious, highly motivated and goal oriented student. She has shown excellent academic performance throughout and comes from a modest family background. She has sought to study Mathematical Economics and statistics in The University of Birmingham. Zahra’s goal in life is to change the world by applying her knowledge of Economics. Having done work placements with an insurance company and charity she feels she has the right skills for this course.

We would like to congratulate the applicants who have successfully secured the advertised loan and wish both applicants success in all future endeavours.

The World Federation of KSIMC would like to take this opportunity to thank the Hiridjee Foundation for their generosity in providing loans for girls to pursue their higher education and achieve their life long dreams. Inshallah we pray that Allah swt continues to shower the family with blessings and grant them infinite rewards for their continued support towards the field of Higher Education.
