Aqaed in Afghanistan

The Islamic Education Department of The World Federation recently published 3 books on the request of Sheikh Mahmood Fayyaz’s Najaf Office. The titles of these books are as follows:

1) Learning Beliefs [Amoozish-e-Aqaed]

2) Learning  (Islamic) Rulings [Amoozish-e-Ahkaam]

3) Learning Ethical and Social Behaviour [Amoozish-e-Akhlaq wa Raftar-e-Ijtemayee]

The books are written by Muhammad Jawad Burhani, a teacher in Islamic Seminary & University of Qum and were mainly published for Shiites of Afghanistan.

Sheikh Kumail Rajani, Head of Islamic Education of World Federation, had this to say about publications: “It has always been a pleasure help the Shia’s in different parts of the world. We hope that these books will be used to teach children in madrasas of Afghanistan and help them to better understand the foundations of our faith.”

Celebrated Iranian Shia scholar Ayatollah Sayyed Muhammad Baqer Musavi Shirazi (1931-2014) has passed away at the age of 83 in a hospital in Imam Reza (A.S) Hospital in Tehran on Tuesday (13th May).


Also known as Burma, this South-East Asian country, with a population of around 60 million individuals, with an incredibly small Shia minority of approximately 20,000, is an emerging hub for Islamic Education.
