Former Vice President of The World Federation receives award

Our former Vice President, Manzoorali Kanani, has been awarded The Order of Green Crescent of Comoros by the outgoing President of The Union of Comoros, Dr Ikililou Dhonine. This is a fantastic achievement! This award is equivalent to OBE in the UK i.e. Order of British Empire.

The award was for his outstanding services to The Union as its Honorary Consul and Permanent Representative to UNEP and UN Habitat on 25 May 2016. He became Honorary Consul in 2009.

He was also the Vice President of The World Federation from 1991-1997 during the time Marhum Mulla Asghar was the President.  He has always been a committed and dedicated volunteer and has done countless acts of service for our Khoja community.

Dr Asgar Moledina, current president of The World Federation, said in a letter of congratulations ‘This award is a continuation of your selfless services to the humanity and for which the Khoja community is proud. This InshaAllah will inspire the youngsters of our community to emulate your achievements that the true nature of services provided by one is not confined to its community but to humanity’.

Congratulations to Manzoorali Kanani on this incredible award.
