As we all aware that India is one of the hardest-hit countries in terms of the pandemic especially when you take into account those who depend on their daily earnings to put food on the table. The ability to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to look after the volunteers and the recipients are equally as important. The Muslim Convention aims to provide a networking platform for Shia Muslims in order to promote their spiritual, educational, social and economic well-being.
The Muslim Convention gives you the opportunity network with Shia Muslims from a variety of different backgrounds and locations. It is an event to connect and engage in intellectual topics affecting the community.
Their vision this year is to help Muslims in the United Kingdom understand and establish their identity. By the end of the event, they hope you will be confident and comfortable in calling yourself a British Muslim.
After the main convention, there will be a celebration which will be free and open to all for the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his holy family).

The Shia Youth Development Project (SYDP) is a vocational programme managed by the Bilal Muslim Mission (Moshi branch). Recently, Sadi Joza, one of its African Shia Muslim students, passed and graduated as an Assistant Pharmacist at KCMC Hospital and has secured employment at the Ithna Asheri Hospital in Dar es Salaam. May the Almighty grant Br. Sadi continued success in the years to come.
