Of all the soft skills that are critical for your success, one of the highest on the list is being able to communicate your ideas clearly, whether to a large audience or even just to another person. That’s why the Community Affairs department of The World Federation are pleased to have teamed up with Mohammad Mahdi Karim to offer a one-to-one Public Speaking Skills Masterclass.

Over a period of 5 days, you’ll learn:

  • How to write a compelling speech
  • How to deliver a speech (basics)
  • How to build your confidence
  • How to develop your own individual style

Each day, you’ll have a one-hour session comprising half an hour of instruction followed by a practical task. The one-to-one nature of the course means you will get personalised attention and feedback to help you hone your skill, all in the comfort of your home. All you need is a pen, paper, and a device to connect to the online class.

The course is normally charged at £75, but is being heavily subsidised by The World Federation to just £20. By registering for the course, you’ll not only gain the benefit of building a valuable skill, but we’ll also work with you to give you opportunities to practice your improved skills in your local community.

Course dates: Monday 20 April to Friday 24 April 2020
Duration: Daily, one hour sessions. Slots will be available throughout the day and evening, but once allocated a slot, you will have your session at the same time every day.
Cost: £20, available to community members worldwide aged 16 years or above
Deadline: Thursday 16th April 2020

Your registration will be confirmed by end of Friday 17 April at which point you will be given a link to pay online for the course.

As this course is run on a one-to-one basis, you can specify which time periods suit you best. We’ll then allocate slots throughout the day and evening.

Volunteering as an approach is built around and altruistic mindset of giving without any financial gain. This mindset, whilst quite basic as an Islamic approach, is one that is not necessarily inculcated within our children’s’ upbringing. The spirit of giving is usually at best confined to within the home or at best with the family. Why did this spirit of wanting to serve to permeate in our very pores in the past and not so to that degree now? Read more here.
