ZCSS Muharram 1435 Appeal: Students excel with support

Updated 20 November 2013
In the town of Chakwal of Punjab Pakistan, where education is difficult to obtain there are 4 students who were given the opportunity to attend school.  Through the support of Zainabiyya Child Sponsorship Scheme (ZCSS) they were able to focus solely on their education and successfully completed 10th class and achieved A+ grades.

The boys have further requested scholarships to continue to study, which have been approved.  The commitment and dedication of these students sets an example of how anything is possible if given the chance.  Had these boys not received the financial assistance they required, their stories would be very different today ~ and their futures as well.

Education is the key to unlock the doors of the future ~ by supporting a child’s education you are giving them a key to a better life.  These boys are just four of thousands of boys who need your support. In cities, towns and villages there are young boys and girls who need helping hand to make a better life for themselves and their families.  You can make a difference and help change the life of someone who deserves it.

ZCSS (Zainabiya Child Sponsorship Scheme) is an initiative of The World Federation started by Marhum Mulla Asghar and has been running for over 30 years. The World Federation of KSMIC’s education objective is to empower communities with the ability to become self-sufficient. The most efficient method of reducing illiteracy is through education. This sponsorship scheme supports young students in less advantaged Shia populated areas of the world in order for them to complete their education, ranging from Primary through to higher education.

This will create a generation of skilled individuals who will work together to lift their communities out of poverty. Unlocking the potential of just one educated person has a great multiplier effect; these benefits far outweigh the monetary cost of that education.

ZCSS works in Kenya, Tanzania, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Haiti. The scheme started with a humble few students and over the years has supported over 25,000 students, many of whom who have succeeded in changing their lives, the lives of their families and their communities.

“Educate & Empower”.  The powerful words of the Vice President of The World Federation Of KSIMC, Munawer Bhai Rattansey, in a speech delivered to the community of Hyderi Islamic Centre in south London, where he launched the Ghaza and Muharram appeal.  He inspired the audience to “Be the reason for Success” and to work together in helping providing assistance to those in Gaza.

“It is the men of knowledge who can truly realise God.” (35:28)

We were all taught to “seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave,” (as per the teachings of our Holy Prophet (SAW)) but imagine the rewards when we provide knowledge from the cradle to the grave.
