ZCSS: On The Road

Updated 2 January 2013

Over Ahsra Zainabiya, The World Federation of KSIMC visited 3 Jamaats within England to promote The Zainabiyya Child Sponsorship Scheme (ZCSS).

Allhamdullilah the support shown by the Jamaats and community towards ZCSS was truly inspiring.  As it stands, ZCSS urgently requires 2000 Sponsor Parents to help the deserving students from within our community.

Milton Keynes KSI
Syed Mohammed Jawad addressed the community in Milton Keynes on Sunday 23rd December 2012.  He spoke of where ZCSS is currently positioned and how it is moving forward.  Syed Mohammed spoke about the uphill educational struggle faced by ZCSS students as opposed to the free education our children receive in the West.   We heard of the success story of Br. Ghulam Abbas, from Gujarat and how we can create many more Ghluam Abbas’s with their help

Milton Keynes KSI rallied together and allhamdulilah sponsored 9 students in total with many pledges to sponsor more.

Birmingham KSI
On 28th December Syed Mohammed Jawad was welcomed by the Birmingham KSI to address the community on ZCSS.  We heard of how Bibi Sakina (AS) showed courage in the face of adversity as a 4 year old, innocent girl and how there are still many children, in today’s day and age, who need our support.  The underlying message of the talk was to inspire us, as a community, to educate the deserving students within our community and work to eradicate poverty through Education.

Birmingham KSI raised a total of 30 sponsors on the night and have made ZCSS one of their main focuses for fundraising, in addition to the Sister selling roses to raise money for deserving students, Mashallah.

The local ZCSS volunteers at Birmingham KSI are: Br. John Hassanaly, Br. Shabir Jivraj, Sis, Farrah Jivraj and Sis Salma Moti-Hassanaly.

Peterborough KSI were able to sponsor 38 students on the night and have also made ZCSS a focus in the coming months.

Mashallah with the help of CoEJ and the support of the Jamaats, ZCSS was able to raise a total of 77 sponsor parents from our visit.

The World Federation of KSIMC would like to thank CoEJ for facilitating this visit, Birmingham KSI, Peterborough KSI and Milton Keynes KSI who allowed us to address communities and for the excellent arrangement they made.  We would also like to thank all of the volunteers, without whom we would not have been able to achieve these sponsors.  We pray that Allah (SWT) reward them for their efforts.  Ameen.

Let us take a moment to recite Surah-e-Fathia for the Marhumeen of all those who made this possible.

Inshallah in the coming months we do hope to visit all the Jamaats and we look forward to meeting with you and to your support in this wonderful and noble cause.

Together let us empower and educate the new generation of Shia’s.
