In Northeast Kenya, this is especially the case where there is twice the relative poverty headcount and people suffer from poor infrastructure, low literacy and limited access to health care.

According to the United Nations, Iraq is struggling with one of the largest internally displaced populations in the world - an estimated 1.8 million people - because of the extremist insurgent group known as ISIS (Da’esh). The UN has declared this humanitarian crisis as a ‘level three emergency’ – the highest possible emergency level. Watch ‘The Displaced’ – a documentary by The World Federation of KSIMC – to learn more about the situation.
