An interview with Dr Asgharali Moledina– President of The World Federation

Interviewer, Sakina Datoo, had to opportunity to sit with Dr. Moledina and ask about the role of The World Federation and the vision for the 2011 – 2014 term. Dr. Moledina expressed how one of the goals was to bring the worldwide communities together. He spent a lot of time visiting Jamaats in far off regions, from Vancouver to New Zealand.

New Look and Feel - The World Federation Website goes live!

The new revamped website has several features to offer and introduces extensive changes to its layout, creating a more user friendly and interactive experience. The aim of the updated website is to create a consistent, cohesive design and a system to reach our community members locally and globally giving users a better online experience.

Persecution of Minorities in Pakistan

In recent years, news from Pakistan about increasing sectarian violence has become a cause of international concern. The situation is worsening every day and crimes are being committed in broad daylight. The World Federation of Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri Communities is monitoring the situation closely and is working to alert the international community about the atrocities occurring in current day Pakistan as many of these instances are not reported in the media.

An interview with Dr. Husein Jiwa – The President of The Council of European Jamaats

Dr. Husein Jiwa is the current President of The Council of European Jamaats (CoEJ), which is one of a number of regional federations that works with The World Federation. He has worked with CoEJ for over 17 years, and has been serving as the President of CoEJ for the last two terms.

EBS Newsflash Issue 1/2014

In March 2014, the Education Board of Africa Federation held 2 major events.

The first was the Aspiring Scholar Workshop which saw 30 highly motivated and talented youngsters come together to turn passiveness into assertion, public speaking nervousness into positive energy and creativity into newspaper bridges.

The second event was the Inter Community Schools Career Seminar, a seminar to explore post-secondary education options with specific focus on career counseling for community schools.
