One of the most blessed days in the Islamic calendar celebrated by Muslims across the world is the occasion of Eid al-Hajj. In 2013, this celebration took place in October.
What goes in our food parcels?
Every Ramadan, the Ramadan Relief Fund distributes food parcels to numerous countries around the world. Each parcel contains enough good quality food to feed a family of four for the whole Holy month of Ramadan.
The contents of the parcel include a combination of the following (specific combinations/quantities vary by country):
- Rice
- Sugar
- Tea
- Cooking oil
- Maize flour
- Wheat flour
- Dates
- Meat
- Lentils
- Salt
- Pasta
- Tomato paste
- Beans
- Milk powder
- Jam
- Rose Syrup
- Vegetables
- Vermicelli
- Juice
