As our children head back to school after the long summer break, the start of a new academic year is often one many look forward to – it is an opportunity to meet friends, start in a new class and learn lots of new and exciting things!
What goes in our food parcels?
Every Ramadan, the Ramadan Relief Fund distributes food parcels to numerous countries around the world. Each parcel contains enough good quality food to feed a family of four for the whole Holy month of Ramadan.
The contents of the parcel include a combination of the following (specific combinations/quantities vary by country):
- Rice
- Sugar
- Tea
- Cooking oil
- Maize flour
- Wheat flour
- Dates
- Meat
- Lentils
- Salt
- Pasta
- Tomato paste
- Beans
- Milk powder
- Jam
- Rose Syrup
- Vegetables
- Vermicelli
- Juice
