Report on construction of 36 water well hand pumps
In August 2014, The World Federation of KSIMC began rebuilding 36 water well hand pumps across 15 villages in Pakistan’s District Mianwali. The population of District Mianwali is about 2 million people and Shia Muslims make up about 25% of this population.
These wells, which were once a water source for the local people were destroyed by flash floods caused by heavy monsoon rains. Today, the wells have been completed and families are once again able to easily access clean water. Each of these wells were sponsored by various donors.
